Who’ll be there (in their own words):
Chase Bliss
“Chase Bliss offers fresh and deeply personal ways to process sound. We make pedals that take you somewhere new, with advanced connectivity and customization to make them your own. Our first pedal, the Warped Vinyl, was released in 2013. Pedals are fun.”
Holy Island Audio
'Electric alchemy for the sonically curious forged by hand in Bridgend, Wales.'
Sine Effect
“Based in Glasgow, Sine Effect Electronics has been hand-building pedals for musicians and producers throughout the world since 2014.
My ethos has always been to create effective, intuitive, reliable and fairly priced pedals. A good piece of music equipment will allow you to achieve the sounds you hear in your mind without confusion or frustration. EQ pedals are my forte, which are designed using both my own experience as a musician and input from hundreds of artists who have been kind enough to try Sine Effect pedals over the years.”
ABL Pedals
You might have heard of them…
“Not only the ‘curator’ and putter-on-er of this wonderful event, but a keen pedal builder himself! ABL Pedals is the guise of Glasgow-based DIY guitar pedal builder Angus Lawson. Having been involved with the city’s music community in a number of roles over the years, he launched his company in 2021.
Along with a small range of boutique pedals, he offers a repairs and modifications service and custom builds, meaning there is something for guitar players at every stage of their journey. Angus aims to provide an affordable service for guitarists looking to get the best out of their gear.
Always DIY. Always professional."
…and more to be announced!
What to expect:
Last year, we had intended to have a live music portion of the event in which each exhibitor showed off their pedals in a Q&A style section. However, when it came to the day itself, we quickly realised that it was going to upset the flow of the event and stop everyone from trying stuff out. So this year we won’t be trying to add in any live music, but it means there’s a good few hours to try some new gear out.
Every stand will be equipped with headphones for trying stuff out, and you’re more than welcome to bring your guitar!
PEDAL RAFFLE
As no social gathering is complete without one, the Glasgow Stompbox Social will be no exception! Raising funds for Refuweegie, the raffle will be drawn later day. If you can’t stick around for when it’s drawn, we’ll take your details to arrange your prize!
Food and drinks
The Glad Cafe will be open for delicious vegan food and drinks for the duration of the event. Get down, grab a coffee, a pint or a bite to eat and come talk pedals with us!
